WIAW #37

Hey loves
How is everyone Doing on this hump day. I have been super busy at work lately I am happy that there is only two more work day left woohoo! And next Thursday I leave for my vacation! So I’m super pumped. I think it makes getting through the work day a little easier knowing I get to take a vacation soon. Anyone else like that? Anyway since today is hump day aka Wednesday that mean its time for WIAW! Thanks Jenn for being our wonderful host. just throwing it out there. I really love this months theme. I am sad to see it go. I now see fitness and healthy eating really do need to go hand and hand and that life needs to be enjoyed. I am feeling so much better because of it. These are my eat from Monday.

I set my alarm for 6:45 but I won’t get out of bed until 7. Once I get up I go right down stairs and start doing my hair and then it’s on to breakfast which I have around 7:45.
BREAKFAST 

Oatmeal. What else. 1/2 cup of Old Wessix Scottish style porridge. made with 1/2 cup of milk 1 1/2 cup of water. 1 scoop of protein powder and 1/2 serving of frozen fruit thrown in. I also had about 1/2 cup of watermelon not pictured. This was really good. I liked the frozen fruit melting into the oats.

This is usually consumed watching General Hospital from the day before.

Then around 8:15 I run up stairs and brush my teeth get dressed and run out the door.

I get to work around 9 and start my day. It goes by so fast! I get so many phone calls. It’s hard to talk to all them. I do my best. I was stressing the other day about it but now I don’t really care. I’m just going to do my best and thats all I can do.

When 12 came I had lunch

LUNCH

Recycled Picture. But I did not want to seem strange taking pictures in front of my co workers. It was one turkey burger, salad, and veggies and 2 tbs of hummus as dressing. I like this because it is pretty filling.

I had lunch with two of the other intern employees. Its nice to talk to other people my age at work and just relax for an hour.
After lunch I went back to work where the afternoon went as fast as the morning. I did not get much paperwork done oh well.
Around 3:45 I get my snack and have it around 4 usually. I did not take a picture but it was 1 celery stalk cut in half nad each half had one slice of applegate cold cut (one turkey and one ham) and I dipped it in 2 tbs of hummus.

When 5 hit I ran out of there. I was done for the day and I was not going to take any phone calls.
When I got home I had dinner with my dad usually around 6:15ish

DINNER 

Started with a side Salad as always.

Then the main. about 5.5 ounces of chicken. Broccoli String beans and eggplant and asparagus.

 

After dinner around 7:30 my dad and I went for a bike ride. We did about 11.5 miles. It’s nice to just go riding especially with my dad. It’s some father daughter time.

Once I got home I did workout A from Tina’s bootcamp. I’m really loving her program so far. I will explain More on Monday but so far so good. I had to go with choice B because my doctors appointment never got changed :( oh well. After I had a shower and it was time for a snack.

SNACK 

Protein Ice Cream. 1/2 scoop of protein powder 1 tbs of cocoa powder, 1 cup of almond milk, and ice blended together. Then after that if it is too icy I add a little more milk or water then blend again. Then I add 1/4tsp and 1/8tsp of xanthan gum and 1/2 tsp of guar gum. It makes the perfect consistency. I also know that when I put a pear in it makes it really creamy. I topped this with 1 fig, 2 strawberries and 1 generous tsp of Justin’s chocolate almond butter.
After this I did have about 3 slat free pretzels and a handful of puffins. I still felt a little snacky so i went with it and I was ok. It is nothing to freak abut and the fact that I did not made me really happy.

This was consumed while watching some tv with my brother and sister. We watched Dallas from last week. I’m really loving that show. And besides aren’t these boys dreamy?

After this I read a bit and called it a night.

I felt good about this days eats as workouts. I’m seeing now that you really need to fuel your body properly in order for you to feel at your best, especially during fitness activities. I am eating better now and my body is responding great so far. It is a great feeling. I feel like my workouts are so much better too. I am finally at a comfortable mind set with food and fitness and I KNOW it is only going to get better from here. I know this because I am going to make it happen. That’s is the only way.

    Xanthan gum is great, you can even bake some cake out of it. It is a great for some of use who have gluten allergy. `,;.:

      Thanks. I like Xanathan gum but sometimes I feel like it hurts my stomach
