WIAW #34
Hey Loves
Happy Wednesday! So I promised a personal update last week but I did not realize how much I had to talk about so It is not finished yet and I am a firm believer in not just putting something on my blog just to have something to say. I rather post nothing. So I promise when I am finished completely with it I will fill you all in. Also for those of you who love photos, be prepared there are many photos to be shared. In the meantime I thought I share you my day of eats
Thanks Jenn for hosting our wonderful party. For those of you who want to know head to Peasandcrayons for the details on WIAW. This is my day and eats from Monday.
So I woke up an started my routine of supplements. After that it was on to breakfast as I was feeling very hungry.
BREAKFAST

oatmeal cooked in 1 1/2 cup of water, 1/2 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk and protein powder added in the last few minutes, and some berries thrown in. I really liked the combination. I stopped putting peanut flour on it because my nutritionist said to. I will explain more in the personal update.
After breakfast I made my way to work. It was horrible getting there. We were having some weather here on Monday, let me tell you. It was a little scary getting to work. I made it about 10 minutes late not to bad. I was one of the few people there at that time. I did my work as usual and the time past quickly. I was a little stressed because of all the work that had to be done that day but at least it kept me busy. About 11:30 I got hungry so I had a snack.
SNACK
An apple with a tbs of Justin’s Almond butter. This one is actually not one of my favorites because it is very grainy and thick but I bought it so I am going to finish it. I actually prefer Trader Joe’s Crunchy Almond butter the best but that one says to refrigerate after opening so I do not like to bring that one to work.
When 1 came I was so happy. I went home did a few things and had lunch.
LUNCH

A big salad. In the mix– Some left over chicken (I forgot how dry it can get. I need to be more careful with a microwave) some kale and baby portobello mushrooms. Topped with balsamic oil vinaigrette. Yep i had some oil. Big step for me.
After lunch I went to my doctors appointment. I am loving talking to my therapist. Sometimes it is not easy but I like that she makes me think and really pushes me to open up. I always walk out of there a little drained but in a good way. Like something is getting accomplished and I always feel better even if I have to deal with hard questions. As long as that keeps happening I will continue to go.
When I got home my best friend Matitza came over to hang out. I have not seen her in about two months. This is partly due to our busy lives and work schedule but also me. I fallen back into bad habits in the last couple of months and really isolate myself. Well this day I said no more. Normally I would never do this because I did not have time to workout and that used to be a no no but I am making strides and taking advice from last week and riding the wave and enjoying life. I was so happy to see her and talk about things. It was really nice. It made me realize how much I missed my best friend.
After a little while talking it was time to cook. I was all set to cook everything myself but my dad took charge so who was I to turn down some help right? So he cooked the turkey burgers and corn for maritza and my sister (I do not eat corn) and I steamed the broccoli in my steamer. I love that thing btw.Veggies come out so good! You can even cook chicken, fish and things like that but I have only made veggies.
DINNER

A turkey burger, that was very good and filling, with some Kale, and Steamed broccoli. It was the perfect crunch.
After dinner we talked some more and decided that we wanted to go to Warped Tour. We did not go last year because we did not really like the line up but we liked this year so we decided that this year we are going. So we bought out tickets right then and there. I am pumped! I love concerts. Little known fact about me I have been to 20 concerts. I am a total concert junkie. I haven’t gone to one this year though and I have been itching for one. I am happy that she deiced to come with. We always have a great time going together.
We also spent time watching some old shows on nickelodeon and reminiscing about how we loved these shows as a kid .
While watching tv we of course wanted snacks. Maritza and my sister had Ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate chips ( I might have eaten a couple of those even though that is bad for my stomach but whatever lol) and some chocolate sauce. I had my only little snack creation.
SNACK

1 container of sugar free jello, 2 strawberries and a teaspoon of Justin’s chocolate hazelnut spread. Now that stuff is addicting. Note to self never buy again but you like it wayyyy to much.
After snack time we talked watched house hunters (mom had it on and we were captivated with it) and then she went home because I had work early the next day

All in all I had a great day and things did not really bother me. I enjoyed my time with my best friend and really those are the things that matter in life.

Did you mix the Jell-O and hazelnut butter because that’s just ridiculous!
I did and it was great. A little hard to mix it at first but once I did I loved it lol. Everyone was topping their ice cream with chocolate and I wanted some but I did not have any non dairy chocolate so I use the hazelnut butter haha
