Great Start

January 28, 2012

Hey Loves :)

I hope everyone made it through the week and is ready toe enjoy the weekend!

I wish I could be this cat this weekend. Unfortunately I have school work to take care of. I still plan to enjoy it a little.

The reason I titled this post is because in my last WIAW I mentioned I got some news that disappointed me. I thought that I would not be getting this internship that I really wanted. It was for a law firm (my future career) so I wanted it so bad.  Well I actually got a call back and a interview that was set up for today and I got it!

I am so happy. I will be able to do this once and week and keep my current job so its a win win. It is for my dads friends Law firm but still there was doubt in my mind i would not be getting it. I really cannot wait until my first real day. I sat in with a super nice girl today to talk about what I am going to be doing but on Tuesday I will actually start training. I am so excited. It is a nice weight off my shoulders.

So this really made my day and started my weekend off right. It put me in such a good mood. I didn’t even mind the rain. When it rains I am usually in a bad mood, like more people. But not today. I was just to happy to care. After my interview my dad, who drove me to the interview so I wouldn’t get lost, was waiting outside the building with a umbrella to walk me to the car so I wouldn’t get wet. He’s so cute. he then drove me to my local health food store to get some things. I really needed a big tub of yogurt which they did not have but I still managed to get a few things I needed. At checkout my dad said he would take care of it and he paid for my whole bill (50). I love that he did that for me. Of course this increased my mood even more. Once we got home I started to do Homework because I need to get a move on really. I did manage to make myself some wonderful creamy carrot soup and I tried a new recipe. I tried Happy Herbivore’s Cauliflower-Pumpkin Curry. This recipe is from her new book Everyday Happy Herbivore. I paired it with a sweet potato and some Kale. I steamed my cauliflower in my steamer but I think I did not steam it for to long so the cauliflower came out too hard. I enjoyed the flavor so just have to make the cauliflower a little more masshie.

The only downside was I ate way to many raisins. Now Raisins are not a bad thing but for me it is. Raisins are somethings that I cannot tolerate and they do not digest well. I had them because I really love them and wanted them so i said why not a few. Bad idea. I had a stomach ache the rest of the night. I know I need to stay away from that but I love them. I think I need to buy some more of Peanut Butter & Co. Cinnamon Raisins swirl. That does not bother my stomach and helps me get my raisin fix in. Other than that I had a great start to my weekend.

Have a great weekend. Write you on Monday :)

Baked sweet potato’s are the best. They are delicious and filling. Two great wonderful things. :)
